SD Card Requirements & Usage
Most CHIGEE Display models do not include an SD card by default. Please check your device type carefully before installation:
- AIO-6 Series → No SD card included.
- AIO-5 Lite → No SD card included.
- XR-2 → No SD card included.
- AIO-5 Play Series → Includes one 8GB SD card in the box.
Why You Need an SD Card
An SD card is required for:
- OTA firmware updates
- Dashcam video recording (if cameras are used)
If you do not insert an SD card, the device will not be able to update via OTA or store recordings.
The SD card requirements vary depending on your CHIGEE device and whether you’re using a camera. Please refer to the details below:

Additional Notes
- SD cards cannot be used to store music or video files.
- GPX files cannot be imported via SD card.
- Always format the SD card using the CHIGEE Display before first use
-
Avoid using low-speed or unbranded cards, which may cause recording or upgrade failures
-
For devices with cameras, U3 speed class is strongly recommended for smooth video writing
