Unable to Connect to Carplay

If your device cannot connect to Apple CarPlay, please follow the steps below to ensure proper setup and reset any previous connection issues.

1. Enable Siri

  1. Go to Settings > Siri & Search
  2. Make sure “Listen for ‘Hey Siri’” and “Allow Siri When Locked” are both turned on. CarPlay requires Siri to be enabled and available even when the screen is locked.

2. Turn Off Focus Mode

  1. If Focus Mode (such as Do Not Disturb or Driving Mode) is active, it may block CarPlay connections. Disable it from Control Center or in Settings > Focus.

3. Check Screen Time Restrictions

  1. Go to Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions
  2. Make sure CarPlay is allowed

4. Disable VPN Services

  1. If you're using a VPN, temporarily disable it. VPNs can interfere with the connection between your iPhone and the CHIGEE Display.

5. Disable Auto-Join for Nearby Wi-Fi Networks

  1. If your iPhone is near known Wi-Fi networks, it may auto-connect and interrupt the CarPlay link.
  2. To turn off auto-join:
    1. Go to Settings > Wi-Fi
    2. Tap the “i” icon next to the known network
    3. Toggle off Auto-Join

6. Complete Reset Process

On your CHIGEE device:

  • Go to Settings > Reset to reset the device.
  • Enter the CarLink interface, Select CarPlay on CHIGEE Display

On your iPhone:

  1. Go to Settings > Bluetooth, and forget all CHIGEE-related Bluetooth devices.
  2. Go to Settings > General > CarPlay, and forget all CHIGEE-related devices.
  3. Turn off Wi-Fi (ensure you’re not connected to any Wi-Fi network).
  4. Reconnect Bluetooth and tap "Pair" → "Allow" → "Turn on WLAN & Connect".
    ⚠️ Important: Do not select "Use Bluetooth Only".
  5. Restart your iPhone.
  6. Try reconnecting to your CHIGEE device again.
