On a CHIGEE Display, an SD card can update firmware and store dashcam recordings. Pick a card that matches your model, then check where new videos are saved.
Choose an SD card
Use the tables below to choose an SD card for firmware updates and for dashcam recording on your CHIGEE Display.
For firmware updates
Use an SD card to update your CHIGEE Display firmware when a wireless firmware update is not available or preferred. The table below shows file system and capacity limits by model.
Model | File system | Capacity |
AIO-5 Lite and AIO-6 Series (Max / LTE) | FAT32 and exFAT | 8–256 GB |
AIO-5 Play / Play for BMW | FAT32 only | 8–32 GB |
For dashcam recording
Use an SD card to record road footage on CHIGEE Displays with dual-camera support. The table below shows speed rating and capacity by model.
Model | Speed rating | Capacity / file system |
AIO-5 Lite and AIO-5 Play / Play for BMW | No speed code requirement | Up to 256 GB (FAT32 / exFAT) |
AIO-6 Series | U3 / V30 or higher | Up to 256 GB (FAT32 / exFAT) |
XR-2 | Speed-optimized card recommended | Up to 256 GB (FAT32 / exFAT) |
For codec, resolution, frame rate and microphone settings, see CHIGEE dashcam video and audio recording specifications.
Where dashcam videos are saved
Where a CHIGEE Display saves dashcam videos depends on whether an SD card is inserted and whether the display has eMMC recording storage:
With an SD card inserted: New videos are saved to the SD card.
Without an SD card, on a display with eMMC recording storage: Videos are saved to the internal eMMC storage. For example, AIO-6 Max and AIO-6 LTE have eMMC storage.
Without either eMMC recording storage or an SD card: The display cannot save dashcam videos. Insert a compatible SD card to save recordings.
After you insert an SD card, new recordings go to the card. Earlier recordings in eMMC storage stay in internal storage and are not moved automatically.
To download saved footage to your phone, see Download dashcam videos with the CHIGEE GO App.
