The AIO-5 Play for BMW needs a compatible cradle for mounting and power. It has no built-in battery and does not support camera add-ons.
Mounting and reuse
The AIO-5 Play for BMW plugs into a compatible BMW Nav Prep cradle. A separate cable, universal handlebar bracket, adapter or different backplate cannot convert it into the standard AIO-5 Play.
You can move the AIO-5 Play for BMW between BMW motorcycles when each has a supported cradle and configuration. Check mounting, power, BMW data and Wonder Wheel control separately on the destination motorcycle.
Use the BMW cradle identification and transfer guide for cradle types, secure fitting and the transfer steps.
Use a BMW without a cradle
You may be able to keep the AIO-5 Play for BMW if a supported cradle can be installed. The BMW Electromagnetic Quick-Release Cradle requires a compatible BMW connector, the supplied Ø12–16 mm crossbar clamp and sufficient mounting space.
Check the electromagnetic cradle installation requirements for your motorcycle model and year before ordering. A cradle cannot add vehicle data or control signals that the motorcycle does not provide.
Check a 10.25-inch TFT cockpit
The K1600GT with a 10.25-inch TFT does not have room for the BMW Electromagnetic Quick-Release Cradle. For a 2024 K1600GT without a Nav Prep cradle, check an AIO-6 Max or AIO-6 LTE with CG Quick-Release Module and BMW 10.25-inch TFT Adapter Bracket.
The BMW 10.25-inch TFT Adapter Bracket accepts a compatible standard-backplate arrangement. It does not accept the AIO-5 Play for BMW or an AIO-6 Max or AIO-6 LTE fitted with BMW Quick-Release Module.
For other 10.25-inch TFT motorcycles, contact us with the model, year, cockpit photo and accessible navigation connector. TFT size alone does not confirm fitment. Use the K1600 installation guide for that model’s cockpit options.
Power, cameras and control
The AIO-5 Play for BMW uses its cradle power connection. Its design does not support the additional camera wiring and power requirements needed for camera add-ons.
For dashcam recording with BMW cradle mounting, check an AIO-6 Max or AIO-6 LTE with BMW Quick-Release Module and compatible cameras. Confirm the required mounting, camera wiring and power arrangement using the BMW setup guide.
Wonder Wheel support depends on the motorcycle, factory equipment and connection. Some K-series and RT motorcycles need CGRC CAN and have simultaneous-control limitations. Review BMW K1600 and RT Wonder Wheel compatibility before choosing a controller.
A compatible separate CHIGEE remote is another option if you want to avoid using the BMW Wonder Wheel. Confirm remote compatibility before ordering.

The AIO-5 Play for BMW is designed for compatible BMW cradles, not installation on a non-BMW motorcycle.
Do I need another display if my BMW has no cradle?
You may be able to reuse the AIO-5 Play for BMW if a compatible cradle can be installed. Check the BMW connector, mounting space and required functions before buying parts.
