Your CHIGEE Display may stay on after ignition-off because the BMW motorcycle delays cutting power to its navigation cradle. The delay depends on the motorcycle and installation; there is no single shutdown time for every setup.
Try these fixes first
Park and note how long the CHIGEE Display stays on after ignition-off.
Check whether a shutdown countdown appears.
Identify whether the CHIGEE Display uses only the BMW cradle or also has a camera harness, power harness or other accessories.
Important: If the CHIGEE Display stays on beyond the motorcycle’s normal shutdown behavior, do not leave the setup powered unattended. Contact us to check the cause.
If the problem continues
The CHIGEE Display’s power path determines which parts need checking.
Power comes only from the BMW cradle
For a cradle-only CHIGEE Display installation, check the cradle, contacts, motorcycle power management and display behavior. The symptom alone does not identify the faulty component.
Use the cradle identification guide or the BMW setup guide if you are unsure which connection you have.
An extra harness is connected
For a CHIGEE Display with an additional harness, have the wiring checked against the approved diagram for that exact product. Do not change wiring based on a generic diagram.
Parking or standby features are enabled
For a CHIGEE Display setup with parking or standby features, report which features are enabled and which harness supplies power. A dark screen does not show that every connected module has stopped drawing power.
