Locked emergency videos on your CHIGEE Display are protected from ordinary loop overwrite. Save a separate copy of any footage you need.
Find and save a locked video
You can locate a locked CHIGEE dashcam video using the event time:
On the CHIGEE Display: View the locked footage and check the exact recording time on the timeline.
In the CHIGEE GO App: View and download the locked footage to your phone.
On a computer: The SD card uses the normal front and rear camera folders. Locked videos do not have a separate folder.
To find a locked file on a computer, check the event time in the CHIGEE Display or CHIGEE GO App timeline. Open the front or rear folder on the SD card, locate the matching timestamp and save the file to your computer.
Important: Locking a clip does not create a separate backup. Formatting deletes recordings on the selected storage, including locked videos. Save the files you need before formatting.
