If a camera connected to your CHIGEE Display does not power on or show an image, check the power supply and wiring first. If the installation looks correct, a camera swap test can help identify whether the problem follows the camera or stays with the connector port.
Check the power supply and installation
Confirm the CHIGEE Display is powered through the correct main wiring harness. A USB power cable may not provide the power required for the camera system.
Check that the camera cables are connected to the correct ports and that the connectors are fully seated. Follow the CHIGEE Display wiring guide for the installation method.
Check whether both cameras work, or whether only the front or rear camera has no image.
Run a camera swap test
Use this test only if the front and rear cameras in your setup are the same specification and can be interchanged.
Power off the CHIGEE Display before disconnecting or reconnecting camera cables.
Connect the camera that works to the connector port used by the camera that does not work.
Power on the system and check whether the working camera shows an image from the new port.
If the working camera also fails on the other port, the problem may be with the main unit or connector port.
If the working camera still works on the other port, the original camera may be faulty.
The swap test helps narrow down the cause but does not prove which component has failed. If both the camera and installation appear correct, have the motorcycle power supply and wiring checked.
