SR-1 radar not alerting or behaving unexpectedly

Separate SR-1 power, indicator, display and alert issues, and send support the details needed for the next step.

Start with what is missing: all signs of operation, one warning light, the screen warning, or an alert in a particular situation. Each points to a different check.

Choose the symptom that matches

No signs of operation

Check the SR-1 power installation against the user manual. With the ignition off, inspect accessible connectors and the harness for loose connections or visible damage. Have your installer check the battery, ACC connection and fuse if needed.

A warning light that is not lit does not, by itself, prove the radar has lost power. Note whether SR-1 can be connected in the app or display.

Only one indicator is affected

With the ignition off, check that light’s connector and cable route. Note whether the other light and display alerts still work. Keep the cable free of tension and check for trapped or damaged sections.

The lights work, but the display shows no radar alerts

  • Confirm that you’re using a compatible AIO-5 or AIO-6 display. XR-2 does not show SR-1 radar alerts.

  • Check that SR-1 is paired and millimeter-wave radar is enabled in the display settings.

  • If you moved the display to a motorcycle with a different SR-1, delete the old radar pairing and pair this motorcycle’s radar.

Alerts are missing or seem too frequent

  • Check that the rear radar is secure, horizontal, facing backward and unobstructed by luggage or accessories. Follow the mounting instructions in the manual.

  • Review sensitivity and the selected activation speed: 0, 10, 30 or 50 km/h.

  • Record the traffic situation and whether the behavior affects the lights, display or both. A maximum detection range is not a guarantee of an alert for every vehicle at that distance.

If the behavior changed after an update

Record the SR-1 firmware version and, if used, the display model and firmware version. If you use CHIGEE GO, include its app version.

Tell us when the change began and which checks, updates or resets you’ve already completed. Include the result of each step.

SR-1 can be updated through the CHIGEE GO app even when used without a display.

Send us the useful details

  • Your motorcycle model and how SR-1 receives power: standard harness or an accessory controller.

  • Whether you use standalone lights, a display, or both.

  • The affected side or screen behavior, plus your radar settings.

  • Clear photos of the radar position and relevant wiring; a short existing video if it shows the issue.

  • Your order reference and the steps already tried. If you sent these in an earlier conversation, tell us so we can use them.

Contact us with these details. Park before checking settings or wiring, and do not create a close-approach traffic situation to test an alert.

For normal operation and compatibility, see the SR-1 getting started guide.
