CHIGEE GO App: User Guide

CHIGEE GO App: User Guide

All CHIGEE Displays share the same principle: you cannot view dashcam footage remotely over the internet. The reason is that dashcam videos are stored locally on the device’s SD card, and streaming these large video files requires a direct Wi-Fi connection with the display. To view your recordings, you need to use the CHIGEE GO mobile app. Once your phone connects to the Wi-Fi signal broadcast by the CHIGEE Display (available within about 8–10 meters), you can open the app and access the dashcam videos stored on the device.

*Note: The AIO-5 Play series does not include a camera and does not support adding one. You do not need to register the CHIGEE Go App to use this device.

1. Download & Install

  • Download the latest version of the CHIGEE Go App from the App Store or Google Play.
  • Register and log in with your email address.
  • Check your inbox (and spam folder) for the verification code.
Important: Make sure to grant the following permissions when prompted:
  • Bluetooth & Wi-Fi
  • Location
  • Photo access
  • Notification access
These are required for the app to function properly.

2. Add Your Device

  1. Open the app and tap "Add Device".
  2. Select your CHIGEE model.
  3. Scan the SN code to bind the device.
  4. You can also rename your CHIGEE device during setup.
You can find your SN code in two places:
  1. On the back of the product packaging
  2. On your CHIGEE display: go to Settings > About, then scan the barcode at the bottom.

3. Downloading Videos

For AIO - 5 Lite and XR-2:
First, on your CHIGEE display, navigate to "Settings" and then select "Download". Toggle the "Download" switch to the "On" position.
Next, connect to the Wi - Fi network that is displayed on the "Download" screen. The SSID and password will be provided for you.
Finally, in the relevant app, tap the "Connect" button. Then, on the CHIGEE display, confirm the connection by selecting "OK".

For AIO-6:
please enter "Settings" and then go to "Video Download". It should be noted that during the process of app connection and video download, you need to stay on the "Video Download" interface and not exit it. This is to ensure that the connection and download operations can proceed smoothly without being interrupted, so as to avoid potential errors or download failures.

4. Understanding the Video Download Feature

Device Album:

The Device Album stores the original dashcam footage directly on your CHIGEE Display.
  • To access it, open the CHIGEE GO app, go to Device Album, and tap the top-right corner to select and download multiple videos at once.
  • Downloaded videos are the original recordings captured by the CHIGEE Display’s dashcam, without any edits or overlays.
  • There are three categories in the Device Album:
    • Video: Regular dashcam recordings.
    • Photo: Captured still images.
    • Lock: Videos that have been manually "locked" or protected on the CHIGEE Display (e.g., important recordings during incidents).

Local Album:

Once footage is downloaded from the Device Album, it moves into your Local Album within the CHIGEE GO app.
  • All videos in the Local Album are also automatically saved to your phone’s native gallery or camera roll.
  • From the Local Album, you can open any video, overlay your riding data (such as speed, GPS location, and route information), and re-export the video with this data added.
  • If you delete a video from the Local Album, the corresponding file will also be deleted from your phone’s gallery. A confirmation popup will appear before deletion to avoid mistakes.

⚠️ Important Notes:

  • If you do not apply a riding data overlay, re-exporting the video will not be available.
  • If you uninstall the CHIGEE GO app, your riding log data will be permanently erased. Without this data, you won’t be able to re-export your videos with riding information even if the original footage remains.
