Is the CGRC LIN compatible with my BMW?

The CGRC LIN is designed to transform your AIO-5 Lite or AIO-5 Play into a powerful data hub. It provides access to your BMW's original data and enhances control through the Wonder Wheel.
Please Note: Due to BMW's specific restrictions, some models may not support the full range of features. This limitation is not related to the Chigee product. To ensure compatibility, please check the table below before purchasing.

Adaptability

  1. Perfect Compatibility: 
    1. CHIGEE devices seamlessly integrate with BMWs, providing native data access and Wonder Wheel control.
    2. If your BMW is perfectly compatible but you do not see the "TFT-NAV" indicator on the upper right corner of your BMW TFT dashboard after connecting the CHIGEE, please upgrade software. 
  2. Software Not Supporting: 
    1. BMW's native data accessible, but Wonder Wheel control requires software update.
    2. We have identified that some models do not support software upgrades. Please refer to the compatibility chart for more information.
  3. Without Wonder Wheel Module: 
    1. Your BMW can read the original BMW data using the CGRC LIN, but Wonder Wheel control will not be available.
  4. Wonder Wheel control is unavailable (native data can be read):
    1. For RT/K series with TFT instruments, Wonder Wheel control is unavailable. (2021-2023 R1250 RT & 2022-2023 K1600 models & 2022-2023 K1600B)
  5. Incompatible:
    1. Your BMW does not have a 3-pin navigation interface. Locate 3-Pin Navigation Interface

Note: 
1. Once the CGRC LIN is installed, you will not be able to install the CGRC CAN or CGRC PRO remote controllers.
2. CGRC LIN does not support daisy-chain connections. You must disconnect your BMW navigation system and connect CGRC LIN to the dedicated 3-pin navigation interface. If you wish to retain your BMW Navigation, we recommend purchasing the CGRC CAN to connect with the DWA or RDC module.
3. To ensure compatibility with CHIGEE products, please refer to the table. The information has been gathered from market research and extensive testing. CHIGEE reserves the right to adjust compatibility details as necessary, and changes may not be communicated separately.
