Unable to Connect Chigee Display to Chigee Go App (Video Download)

Step-by-Step Troubleshooting Guide

0. Preliminary Checks

  • Disable CarPlay or Android Auto before attempting to connect. These services may block direct communication with the device.
  • Turn off Cellular Data, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi on your phone temporarily.
  • Disable any active VPN — it may interfere with local device discovery.

2. Prepare Your Phone for Clean Pairing

  • Forget all existing Bluetooth and Wi-Fi pairings for the Chigee Display.
  • Restart your phone to clear any lingering connection states.

3. Open the Video Download Page on Chigee Display

  • On your Chigee Display, go to:
    Settings > Down and toggle Video Download Access to ON.

4. Connect via Chigee Go App

  • Open the Chigee Go App and tap "Connect".
  • When prompted, grant all requested permissions.
  • The app will first pair via Bluetooth — this allows it to automatically retrieve the device's Wi-Fi password.
  • Then, your phone will switch to the device's Wi-Fi network (e.g., CHIGEE_XXXX). Enter the default password: 12345678.
  • Note for AIO-6: CHIGEE_XXXX LE option is correct one to show up in chigee Go app.

5. Stay Connected

  • Ensure your phone remains connected to the CHIGEE Wi-Fi.
  • Avoid reconnecting to another known Wi-Fi network during this process.

6. Reset and Retry (If Issues Persist)

  • On your phone, "forget" the CHIGEE Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connections.
  • On the Chigee Display, go to Settings and perform a device reset.
  • Reboot both the app and the device.
  • Then, try connecting again from scratch.
