If your CHIGEE Display will not start in a BMW Nav Prep cradle, check seating and the supported power connection first. These checks apply to the AIO-5 Play for BMW and AIO-6 with BMW Quick-Release Module.
Try these fixes first
Park and turn off the motorcycle before removing or refitting the CHIGEE Display.
Check the display, module and cradle match your supported BMW setup.
Visually inspect accessible contacts for debris, damage or bent pins.
Refit the CHIGEE Display securely, then check whether it starts with the motorcycle’s normal power-on sequence.
Important: Do not clean, sand, scrape or modify contacts yourself. Use official BMW service documentation or an authorized BMW service center for contact maintenance.
If the problem continues
A supported USB startup test can help separate the CHIGEE Display’s USB and cradle power paths.
Test supported USB power
If your exact CHIGEE Display supports a USB startup test, use a 5 V / 2 A source and USB-A to USB-C cable. Connect only to the supported port shown in the USB power guide.
A successful USB test shows that the CHIGEE Display can start through USB. It does not identify which part of the cradle path is faulty.
If the USB test fails, record the cable and adapter used. An adapter’s advertised wattage alone does not explain a failure.
Contact us
Contact us with your CHIGEE Display model and firmware if accessible, BMW model and year, cradle and module photos, and test results. Tell us whether the installation worked before.
A known-working compatible cradle test is optional if one is available. You do not need to find another motorcycle before contacting us.
