Fix CG2 charging problems and indicator lights

Check charging mode, phone alignment, indicator lights and power connections when CG2 charging fails or becomes unstable.

If CG2 wireless charging stops or will not start, unplug the USB-C cable first, then check phone alignment and power. Wired charging takes priority, and an unlit indicator can mean sleep mode or no power.

Check wireless charging

  1. Check that your phone supports wireless charging and fits the CG2 with its case.

  2. Unplug the USB-C charging cable from the CG2 so wired priority does not prevent wireless charging.

  3. Fit the phone securely and adjust its position to align its charging coil with the holder.

  4. Check for a breathing green CG2 light and the phone's charging indication. If charging remains unstable, try another compatible phone to help distinguish a phone-position issue from a holder or power issue.

Check wired charging

  1. Connect your phone to the CG2 USB-C output with a compatible charging cable.

  2. Check for a breathing blue CG2 light and the phone's charging indication.

  3. If charging does not start, try another compatible cable. If neither charging mode works, check the CG2 power supply below.

Check the indicator and power supply

The CG2 manual lists steady green for standby, breathing green for wireless charging, breathing blue for wired charging, and flashing red for low voltage or a fault.

An unlit CG2 indicator does not by itself prove incorrect wiring. The light goes out after 1 minute in standby if charging has not started.

  1. Turn off the motorcycle before inspecting the wiring. Check that the red terminal is connected to battery positive and the black terminal to battery negative.

  2. Check that the waterproof power connector is fully joined. The CG2 operates from 11.5–18 V and uses a 3 A mini fuse.

  3. If the CG2 flashes red or still will not charge, check the supply voltage with a qualified installer if needed. Follow Install and connect your CG2 phone holder for connection details.

  4. Retest charging. A breathing green or blue light together with the phone's charging indication confirms that the selected charging mode has started.
