Choose the symptom below to find help with your CHIGEE cameras, recordings or rear-traffic alerts. Start with your CHIGEE model and the camera or radar setup fitted to your motorcycle.
Important: If a camera cable or connector becomes unusually hot, smells burnt, melts or smokes, stop using the affected system and contact us. Do not swap connections or power it on again to reproduce the fault or make a video.
Find the right camera or recording guide
Use these CHIGEE guides for the symptom you see.
No camera image or a connection warning
For one or both cameras with no image, start with CHIGEE dashcam camera not working.
For an AIO-6 quick-release setup showing Not Connected, use Fix “Not Connected” after wiring the AIO-6 camera.
For colored noise, black bars, shifted images or an intermittent picture, see Camera image problems on a CHIGEE Display.
A recording is missing
Use Find missing recordings and save CHIGEE dashcam footage. Save any files you need before formatting storage. A live picture does not by itself confirm that a recording was saved.
You cannot view or download a clip
Use View CHIGEE dashcam footage in three ways to choose the display, app or computer. For a connection problem, use CHIGEE GO App can't connect to the CHIGEE Display for video downloads. XR-1 users can start with Install and set up your XR-1 dashcam.
The screen switches to the rear view
See How automatic rear camera switching works. Automatic rear-view switching, Blind Spot Detection (BSD) warnings and Fusion Output are separate functions.
Find the right rear-traffic alert guide
CHIGEE camera-based BSD uses a rear camera. SR-1 uses a separate radar sensor. The table below helps you choose the guide for your setup.
Setup | How alerts work | Guide |
Camera-based BSD | The AIO-5 Lite, AIO-5 EVO and AIO-6 support BSD with a rear camera installed. The XR-2 does not support camera-based BSD. Sound comes from the display speaker.
SR-1 radar with external lights | SR-1 works independently of a display. Its external warning lights provide visual alerts without sound.
SR-1 radar with a display | Compatible AIO-5 and AIO-6 series displays show radar warnings and play alerts through the display speaker. XR-2 does not support SR-1 display pairing. |
Enabling SR-1 radar on a compatible display switches off camera-based BSD alerts. Camera-based BSD and SR-1 alert sounds are not sent to a Bluetooth helmet headset.
For missing or inaccurate camera-based alerts, use the BSD troubleshooting guide.
For alerts that sound too often, see Reduce frequent BSD alerts on your CHIGEE Display.
For camera-based warnings on the wrong side, see Fix BSD warnings shown on the wrong side.
For radar alerts, use SR-1 radar not alerting or behaving unexpectedly.
Both systems assist rider awareness. Keep using mirrors and checking blind spots; the absence of an alert does not mean a lane is clear.
Contact us
Contact us with your CHIGEE model, firmware version, affected camera, installation setup and checks already completed. If you already have a support conversation, reply there and add only information you have not provided. Tell us if you cannot safely reach a connector; do not dismantle the motorcycle just to collect evidence.
